I am looking to buy a manual. I ordered one from a website (carownersmanual.com )that stated they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't ship one.

SLADE, so did your manual cd arrive? how do you like it?

Mfgrep, are you looking for the Owner's Manual or the Service Manual? I would suspect you want the owner's manual. well there isn't much in there that you won't be able to find out by simply pushing buttons on the car and seeing what they do. i got an owner's manual...waste of money! The service manual, however, is a valuable tool if you are looking to work on your own car, or just want to know more about the 3000GTs.

if you REALLY want an owners manual, you can get em at 3sxperformance: www.3sxperformance.com --> look under Literature.

Linebckr49, unfortunately, it still hasn't gotten here yet. The thing did say that I should give 'em about 3-5 days to prepare the CD so I'm assuming that that's why it's still not here yet. And then again, it's only been a bit over a week so that's probably why as well. So yeah, still waiting....

And Mfgrep, I agree with Linebckr49--the owner's manual doesn't tell you much. I'd say invest in a service manual.

Pretty impressed. The other performance cars I've had (in the past):
In 1968:1965 Corvette 327ci 365HP 411 gears close ratio borg w/Hurst Shifter, did 1/4 mile in 14sec. flat completely street legal, no big tires, or open exhaust. WOW!
In 1970: 1968 Olds 442 Auto 330 gears
In 1991: 1989 Chrysler Conquest Turbo w/intercooler, fast little dude.
Now my new ride, may go to VR4 later.

Well you said above that you ordred one allready so that leaves questions, which you probably have and if so this is the place to ask them :).

ECS has 2 modes. Tour and sport. It's the Electronically Controlled Suspension. Drive down the highway and push the button. You will notice that in SPORT mode the car will bounce up/down.

I always leave my car in TOUR mode.

Thanks Gateway. Two questions about insurance. Is it OK to ask specific questions about rates and coverage on this forum, and can you insure in Ohio?

Thanks,
mfrgep

sure feel free to PM me questions about insurance or whatever. I personally am not an independant agent, so I can't personally start a policy for you. I do however know alot about auto insurance since it's my job, however. I am more than happy to answer any question you have.

I'm in a similar boat. I just bought a '91 3000GT (3sxperformance doesn't have the 91) and I'd like to have a copy of the Owner's Manual. If anyone could make me a Xerox or scanned copy, or sell me their old one, I'd love to hear from you. Obviously, I'm trying to get this done on the cheap . . .

Thanks!

Ebay.:) Seriously, thats where I got my owners manual from. A lot of times you get lucky and get an immaculate condition owners manual.
