Lighting Control Module/Interior Lights

My 97 P71 came equipped with the "dark car" option. When the doors are opened, no interior lights go on, no buzzers go off for leaving the lights on or keys in the ignition. It is my understanding that the doors have two separate zones: one for the driver's door and one for the other three. By disconnecting a blue plug under the passenger side dash, I was able to get all the doors working except the driver's door. How do I get the driver's door working? I have heard that some departments cut the connections to the driver's door ajar switch? Could this be my problem and if so, where would they have cut it? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You are correct.
Some departments are foolish enough to just cut the DDS wire to disable the interior lighting functions instead of disconnecting the wire built in to provide this function.
If they are smart, the cut the wire near the LCM, which is mounted under the dash to the right of the steering column. If they are not smart, they disassemble to door and cut/remove the wire near the DDS at the latch.
