95 timeing belt

hi I changed the timeing belt on my 95 lx fd civic.when i started the crank sprocket was off the mark a bit.put on new belt and set the crank on the mark.now when i accelerate i hear some chatter.do i have to reset the timeing now .thanks ln advce

put your engine back to tdc and make sure all hte marks line up, also r u sure that your tightened down teh tension and also did you tension the belt in the right way ?

well when you put a new belt on, you gotta tension it using the tensioner. i forget off hand but it was something like turn 3 teeth on cam turning the engine counter clockwise. once you do that, then you can torque down the tensioner.
so did you tension the timing belt, and did you torque down the tensioner ?
also go set your engine back to tdc on the crank and see if the cam is at tdc too, if not then you know your belt jumped and should immediatly be fixed
