Well you're a dumbass, so you don't count :) . My 95 gsx just clicked over to 130k and it runs absolutely wonderful. As long as it has been taken care of and all the maintenance has been done on time as it should (timing belt, water pump, etc), it should be fine. I paid $5200 for my gsx, which isn't too bad, but the fact that it only had 2 previous owners that babied the car told me that it was a good deal! Go to www.kellybluebook.com for prices on cars, since it's just about what everyone goes by.

well, i dont see why you cant get a dsm with over 100k. there dsms, theyll run forever if taken care of. i bought my 95 gst for 5500 dollars with 119k and it was taken care of wonderfully. and then the motor blew at 150k but thats because i beat on it everyday, so.....abut 5000 dollars u.s

Either one of two things happened with you two.
1. Your retarded and go by what everybody else says because you are too weak-minded to make decisions for yourself.
2. You had an eclipse or talon, beat the hell out of it and it died because you are a horrible driver, which would also make you retarded.

lol...i know my car trust me...i put over 20k miles on the car in less than one year. on top of racing at the track street and so forth. and you know what, if he wants to get a car with 150k miles and spend however much he wants than so be it. but all he was asking was a simple question and obviously you dont look hard enough to see that there are many dsms' with over 100k

The talon I was looking at getting has over 300k on it, and still runs fine.... but i dont want to buy anything and then have it break down on me, even though i could probably get this one for cheap, i'm considering buying an ESi and turboing it.... or would it make more sense to just wait around for a TSi.... all the ones i see for sale in the classifieds are for like 12,000 (canadian) its still facking expensive, what do you guys think, is a ESi with 300k even turbo chargable?

No, i just like to buy fixer uppers. I bought my 1992 eclipse for $400 and the guy that had it said the motor was blown. I spent $40 and an afternoon working on it and it runs perfect, no smoke, no valve tap, no problems. The interior and exterior (except for crappy pin stripe) are almost perfect!
the tranny f*$# up in the last one i had, but i only paid $100 for it and now i have a whole butt load of parts to fix anything that might break on this one.

well thanks for that delightful comment. The fact of the matter is, not all eclipses over the 100k mark WERE taken care of, and many of them aren't,(at least in the northeastern USA) so you have to look out for things like that when buying a car. 150k miles for an eclipse is way too much, and if it was bought with that many miles on it, you would most likely spend half the car's worth in repairs.
If you were to buy the car, then swap out the engine and transmission, then that's another story, but i pse a question, what would you consider high mileage on an eclipse or talon? How many of YOUR 2nd gen eclipses or talons exceed the 200k mark without problems?
I'm not saying they're bad cars, just a bit more fragile than others, that's all.
I still wouldn't touch an eclipse/talon with 100k on it, but hey, to each his own.
