manual shifting noise

i have a 1987 cherokee 5spd manual 4.0 130,00miles. Whenever I shift i can hear it under the car from when i depress the clutch and shift in all gears. i use to have an acura vigor im use to not hearing anything when i shift is this normal? Its like im hearing the linkage(?)going to the transmission. is there something i can lubricate or a grease fitting to quiet this. everything feels fine shifting just wondering about the noise. So far this jeep been great. any suggestions?
