all season tires

looking for a nice tire at a great price for all season weather with a nice looking thread.
what do you recommend?

My Falken Ziex were Nice tires. They handled the snow real well, and they'll be doing it again this winter. I only paid 92 dollars a piece for them too. DIscounttiredirect.com

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Best all-season/high performance tire available. I live in Minnesota, and they performed flawlessly all winter long. They're expensive, but tires are the most important modification you can do.

i would love some pilot sports but at 200 dollars a whack ouch!!. a little out of my budget. my stock eagles RSA's were nice maybe go with those?

Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S; less than $150 apiece from Tirerack.com and they are absolutely wonderful. Excellent handling regardless of what's on the road.

How much are you looking to spend? Continental ContiExtreme contact are very good all-season tires, but they're not available in every size, so I don't know if they would be available in your size. Or check out the Pirelli's mentioned above, also good tires.

excuse my cheapness but i was thinking along the lines of under 100 dollar a piece. i'm going to take a ride by BJ's i hear they have excellent deals there.

What size? The Pirellis are $125 for 17s.

unfortunately the pzeros wont fit my stock 215 55 16's would have been a great choice though. i'm still searching!

You could get the 205/55/16 size ($101); your speedometer wouid only be off by 1.7% which is pretty negligible.

yeah true, but then my car will look like it is riding on bicycle tires. it is bad enough to run on 215's but 205's???
i went to BJ's today and all they had in my size were michelin mxv4's for $139.00 each installed with lifetime warranty and everything, however, i did not like the thread pattern at all.
still seaching!

IMO, you won't see a difference between 205 and 215.

Look at Kuhmo's. Just got a set at Discount Tire for 406 out the door. They look good and are quiet and I'd say just as good as my Potenza's I just replaced.

i have a set of kuhmos on the car right now. they lasted me almost 2 years and hte price was right.. i may go with those again.. they were good on the rain and just ok on the snow.. i dont commute far so i;m not too worried about snow driving. also can anyone support THT's comment about the tire size difference not being much different? thanks guys.

I had a set f 205s and a set of 215s. The 205s were stock tires and the 215s were off of my sister's Rav4. The only way I saw a a difference was when I lined them up against one another and even then, it was a negligibile difference.

Do not I repeat DO NOT go four season tires never never never never never never, I can't reapeat it enough in the cold weather you are driving on hockey pucks. Stick to good snow tires and you shouldn't go wrong.

215/55/16 khumo winters are an excellent choice for around your budget I ran thgem for three years and never had a problem with them and never got stuck in the snow.They are great on powder conditions and wet weather conditions
there is also a czeck brand called SAVA you might wanna check out.

Eh? I live in MN and I have high performance all season tires, and they work fantatstic in winter, even with 50 series and 17's.

Its your choice but coming from a place with harsh winters with harsh cold -40c = four season tire compound getting hard and under hard braking your on hockey pucks the rubber/nylon coumpound becomes to stiff,loses its elasticity,wheareas a snow tire stays softer but doesn't last as long.I know so I beg to differ.

Dennis, u should be shot dead. Cant beleive u would compare Kumhos to those wack a** Potenza's! Whatta disappointment. My Kumho's perform top notch, i do beleive these r the best tires for less than $150 p/tire. I paid less than $350 for a set and never paid more than $60 p/tire.

^must be nice. i spent $750 on 4 new all season tires mounted and balanced. $162 per tire.
