1991 Regal Master Cylinder

My brakes are acting up and my Master cylinder was only put in my year model, it is a Master cylinder pump combo or something,a new one is almost 3 grand. Can I change it to a regular ABS Master cylinder from the same year moldel? Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks.

3 Grand!??! Someone is ripping you off man, i dont know any master cylinder setup that costs 3,000.... And you own a 91 Regal, i can almost guarantee you that it does have ABS, man where did you get your info?? Go to your local dealer and have them price you out a master cylinder.

The dealers price is $2,929.99. I have a hydroboost master cylinder-pump combo, it was only put out in certain 1991 models. It is driven by the power steering pump. I have a picture of it that I would put up here if I knew how.

Dude, I have the exact same problem with my 91 Regal. It happened last winter, but somehow the master cylinder started working again over the summer. It seems to function properly in warmer weather. I dont think I have much time until it goes again. And rebuilt ones are non-existent (as you probably know). What did you do? (if anything yet) Any advise would be great! Thanks.

I haven't done anything. I blew a headgasket, it's sittin in the yard, for sale...best offer.
