Blown head gasket and amp problem

I just had bought a 1991 MR2 Turbo, with 152K miles on an original engine, everything is stock. The same day I had bought it I found out that water leaked into the engine, that the head gasket is blown. I'm wondering what should I do and what would be cheaper? Should I replace the engine or fix the head gasket? Also I'm trying to replace a stock AM/FM Player with my aftermarket CD player. I can't find the connection's that would fit and I tried to buy some connection's that would fit but I couldn't find any. I took it to a Auto system installation place and they were also stumped. They told me to find the factory amp and straight connect it to the CD player. My question is where is that Factory amp? Plz Help...

Your factory amp is in the box behind the drivers seat, also ive seen wiring harnesses for Toyota's (91-93 MR2's were in the list it fits) for it at Walmart. All you need is a dash kit and the wiring harness.

Where did water "leak into the engine" ... how are you diagnosing the blown HG?

Your factory is behind the panel that is behind the drivers seat. remove the panel and unplug the box. take a meter and test for continunity between all the wires, match them into pairs and then test for impedance, if they test around 4 ohms, thats your speakers wires. Put a 9v battery on the wires and that specififc speaker will "pop" then run wires from that speaker to the corasponding wires coming out of your new radio and your good to go.
