Remote, Trunk, and Door Lock Questions

Ok, I have many problems with my 1994 Continental:

1. I never had the auto lock feature (locks the doors when you shift into drive) enabled, but ever since my father attempted to unlock my car the auto-lock has been enabled. I tried to disable by entering the permanent code (which I know is right because it's the one on the trunk) and pressing and holding 7/8 and then pressing 3/4. Nothing happens, it still locks the doors. And sometimes it randomly locks the doors when I'm going slower even though the doors are already locked. Another question, are the doors supposed to unlock? Its annoying to unlock them everytime, it would be nice to have them unlock when you put it in park or something.

2. My electronic trunk release sometimes works, but often doesn't. Neither the remote button, glove box button, or keypad combination works. But everytime I do attempt (any of the 3 ways) to open the trunk I hear a light click coming from the far back of the trunk or the backside of the rear seats. The only way I can get open the trunk is by using the key.

3. I have 2 remotes but only transmitter 2 works. I've replaced the batteries on transmitter 1 and checked for contact but nothing works. I found another thread on how to program it. But I don't know where the pin thing is in the glove box that i'm supposed to jump.

4. Ever since I got the car the seat belt light never came on (but the tone sounded), but a couple of days ago the light was suddenly working but the right part of the cluster where the message display is, is now dimmer than the rest of the cluster.

Thanks everyone!

Nevermind question 3, I figured it out. The continental doesn't respond to transmitter 1 even in programming mode, so I know the actual remote is shot. At least I can use the other one. :D
