i have a drop in K&N filter, wishin i had got the whole intake kit, but anyways... i see air raid has these modular intake tubes. would they be just as good as an intake kit with a drop in filter? or do they even work....as far as i can see it just looks like a peice of tubing.

I have the MIT with the airaid intake. It's not much to it. In fact, it seems somewhat restrictive. Now that the clutch fan and shroud is gone, I'm going with a much larger intake tube to feed the 6.0L.

I think it's a good upgrade over the stock airtube. I definately noticed a difference in the airflow. I think I'm going make a custom intake tube now that the radiator shroud is out of the way. I'm going with a "big" one to feed the motor.

The pics of the MIT's look the same as the stock ones, how are they any different?

It doesn't have the 2 baffles that come out of the tube. It's just a straight through tube.

jeverett- I'm not sure yet on the size. I'm going to play around with a few different ideas on home made intakes.

Use some 5" PVC lol. That ought to be big enough.
