What brand of flush is recomended by everyone here? I was reading the post about switching to full synthetic oil and it got me thinking.

Auto Rx. There's another BBS full of people who swear by it. I've not tried it myslef as I don't own a vehicle that warrants a flush at the moment, but when it gets to be that time, I fully intend to try it.

I too have seen that board and have seen a lot of people not noticing any difference after the Auto Rx treatment.
Grab a container of Degunk or Penzoil engine flush and flush the system using a cheap filter just before you swap to synthetic.
The instruction are in the other synthetic change thread here:

Oh, and use Mobil 1 and not Castrol Syntec.
Castrol Syntec is not a true synthetic. Mobil 1 is.

Thanks for the input guys. As for filters, I was thinking fram tough guard.... jk ;)
Was going to use the my favorite, K&N. Do the first cheapo filter with a Napa gold or something. For oil weight, 5w-30? I have always ran 10w30 in my other vehicles.
I would have run full synthetic in my last car, but the oil pumps in the 1.8L mazda engines dont like synthetic, so i ran semi-synthetic.

use 5w30.
You can use the cheap filter while you flush your system.
Just use a good filter when you actually pour in the synthetic.

one more question. I was checking out the mobil 1 site and noticed they make an oil for SUV/Truck applications. Should i get this one, or the other normal one? Does it matter?
What filter would you put on your truck? Mobil 1, AC Delco, or K&N?

Nah, use the normal 5w30.
I would go with the K&N for the extra money.
