well my brother came home for the weekend and i took his car out on the town for a little fun... after goin to get some gas at the local chevron i decided to go cruise for a bit. anyhow as im driving down pacific i see a newer camero pull out of a parking lot on the street, i pass him and turn onto march lane, big three lane road long and only a couple lights. so guy in the camero decides to follow me and he gets up along side and i down shift into second and take off, he does the same and flys by for a second, as he's slowing down he flashed his hazards real quick to show me he was serious. so i get up along side him and he gives me a "whats up" look and i said lets go and he nodded. so again i down shift into second at about 30 or so and take it up to about the redline and shift into third, he takes off at the same time and cathces up real quick, i had him up until about mid way through 3rd gear. and then he just flys away and i cant do anything about it. so we both shut down and pull up to the light that had just turned red... so again i look over and we each had a big grin and i yelled "agian!" and he nodded. so i started to rev and at about 2500 the light changed and i took off. he spun about halfway through 1st and then grabbed, my launch was ok. grabbed pretty hard and smashed into second, right up until 3rd gear(which is when this damn car falls on its face) i had him by about a car or so, i hit third and he just flew away up until about 80 or 90 and after that he turned off the road and i went home

am i wrong to assume you still drive a 1994 ford ranger? coz thats what i got when i looked up your profile. and you say you were able to hang with the camaro till 3rd gear?? unless its a v6 i don't see how thats possible. correct me if i'm wrong though, oh and is it still the ford ranger or have you got another car. sorry but you really haven't given much info on this race.

i think the truck would do better than an '83 325SE....lol i like the "free Flow Exaust"

I agree the truck would beat an 83 325. Unless it is a 4cyl truck, but wtf is the point of a 4cyl truck!

bah... the eta engine in that e30 is damn weak-ass!!! That bmw runs a low 17's in the 1/4. The reason it is ok through 1st and second is because it has so much torque. But it redlines at 4500 :eek7:

well i wasnt told this unti today but he just chipped it like recently, so i dunno...

I really should get that exhaust with no holes in it... maybe it would work with my gas tank too?

I dont see how 121 hp and 170ft lbs is bad in a 2800 pound car. Anyway, it redlines at 5300. My sister drives a ford ranger and I would slaughter her all day long in my 86 325es

ok he gave me the break down on his car, (he lives in pismo beach so i dont talk to him all that much) and he came down this weekend to go to my football game so i he let me borrow his car for a couple days.anyways here ya go
1983 bmw 325E
-150 hp(with the chip)
-190 trq(with the chip)
-and instead of redlining at about 4800 it redlines at
like 5300
-DINAN ecu chip
-the exhaust is being replaced next week with ANSA cat-back...
-he got a new 3.2(i think i dont remember what he told me) LS differential
-K&N intake
and with all of that he was beat his friend who drives a 2000 SI(stock) by the nose of his car. and they run like mid 15sec in the 1/4 so thats about what he is running right now, and ya i didnt give much information in the first post, but i didnt have much to give. but theres a big ass difference between 17 seconds and 15 seconds
and like noodleman said the car is super super light, and i didnt say i completely rapde the camero, infact i said he beat be my about two cars or so, but through first and second i had him and then he blew by me... i just dont get why you all automatically assumed that i was bullshittin.

Tell him to forget ANSA, go with Remus or Dinan, or another one. I've heard nasty things about ANSA.

A car can run low 6's but unless the driver knows what hes doing, he might end up running high 13's. Eventually escalading into buying an automotic civic then painting it yellow and putting more money in the trunk than the car costs. Whatever

From Bimmer buds-Cheap make, crappy sound, to expensive for what you get, ugly, etc.
When I was looking for an exhaust for my car, I was talking to one guy about it, and he said it was a shoddy build, crappy materials, and agreed with the ugly sound. Of course, those are all on E36 and E46 3s, so it might be different with an E30.

i dunno, its way to late now. i just talked to my brother and its on already. but he said that it sounds way better than the stock muffler that was all fucked up. but he did say that is was super super quiet, like almost no noise at all. but supposedly it made things alot smoother with the car. because the stock exhaust was super fucked up, like the old muffler itself had 4 holes in it and the inside was rotted to nothing... so ANSA has to be better than that

Yeah, its better than nothing, and especially if the older one sucked already, lol. I dunno though, all the UUCs and Dinan and Remus exhausts just sound so...refined. Thats what I love about Bimmers...refined power. Tell your bro I said good luck with his ANSA.
