Need Chrome Shift Base Ring 04 Tiburon GT

Does anyone have a source for a chrome shift base ring for an 04 Tiburon GT? The dealer says the stock part ($85) is the plate and ring as one piece. I just need the ring. Thanks

I'd be happy with a good aftermarket shift base/plate and ring for my 04 Tiburon automatic. The stock ring is cheap and easy to damage.

Its all one piece. If you don't want to drop the cash, start lookin' at junk yards and pull one off a wrecker. Other than that, you're going to be hard pressed to find just the ring at the dealer.

i think he means teh shift plate... im guessing you have an auto?

By him mentioning the term "ring" I instantly guessed round, like a ring, a'la manual. The manuals do have a trim piece around the base of that area but as I mentioned, it's in combination with the plastic trim piece that it's attached to.

got it fixed, as noted in someone's previous post, it's the entire top assembly with plastic ring attached. got the part and it's good as new.
