What Model/Year WRX is the best to Buy?

Hey id first of all just like to introduce myself my name is Sash and im 17 livin in Sydney ive always been into cars and fallen in love with a lot of different models, but for a long period of time i was hooked in 300zx's but after all the info i found out and everythin it sorta turned me off them, i always loved WRX's but never ever thought that id want one but after my mate got me into them im hooked and absoulutely love him, next year i am going to buy one for sure, i already saved up the cash n hopefully adding to it. I feel a bit like a loser bein on this forum n not havin a WRX of my own but hopefully with all the knowledge i get n all the stuff i learn from here ill know exaclty what to do with my Subaru :biggrin: ok now apart from the 2004 WRX's, which is the best model? i would be really interested to know all your opinions on this.

Personally i like the 2000 model best, i mean it looks like the 1998 but just fresher interior n exterior, not to sure bout preformance though. But the 2004 model is just outa this world (cept theres no wway in hell i can buy that next year) so yea out of the 1998-2000-2002 what do you guys think?

dont feel like the only one on here without a subaru, because i know there are more here...including myself...except i am buying an 02 WRX next week.

performance...i dont know too much about, im guessing the 01-05's have much better performance and quality than the latter, but i am not sure. but styling wise, im really into the 02-03 bug eye look (some like it....some dont). and of course....the 05's are just dead sexy.

don't mind me, but i'd rather show off an '05 than my gorgeous ex g/f.

we dont get anything below an 02 wrx here in states. I like the body of the 2000 but now that I have a 02 I also really like the looks of them. I think the 02+ has more power but also is heaver im not sure what the times look like between the two. If I’m not mistaken the 98-00 are the same but I could be wrong.

i have an "02, wich in my personal opinion has the best looks.
now there are a few little things here and there different between the 02 and 04 performance wise, but to me performance can allways be added, so i go for the looks first.

the 03 is soo similer to the 02, only differences are the back lights and little nick nacks.

personally though the old sti, looked the best, as well as the p1.

but sadly i cannot get these cars due to the right hand drive (wich "is" legal, just personal prefrence.)

however the old rs2.5 looks similer to the p1, but has no turbo and the performance lacks in comparason to the new wrx's and sti's.

the new 2004 wrx has either the same, or similer body to the new STI, wich is cool, but personally i think the STI lost its rally look when they removed all the hood vents and fog lamps.

sure its looks more agressive now, but i really like the rally look.
so id say anything 2000 and up will have awsome performance no matter what, so go with what car you like the looks of (and can afford) then if you want more performance you can allways upgrade the internals.

now you can allways add a wing or a bigger hood vent, but the body shape to me on the new sti/wrx is just too plain.

the interior's also vary, personally i like all the interiors, i like the carbon weave style on the new 2004's but its not as sheek as the swade interior of the 2002's.

anyways, id sugguest going to subaru and testing them out yourself.
thats the best way to get the feel for it.
