I have a third gen eclipse and got a new ralliart lancer trany but in my car. I am also thinking of dropping the motor in. My macanic has everthing the computer and all the bolt ons. He said that i would just need to by the wiring harnes. The engine is the exect same sive 2.4 and the headers fit right in. The only difference is that it pushes 164 and has a mi-vech technology. I was just wondering if jhonnybgood turbo would bolt on and give the same type of performance or would it be diffrent since it has a diffrent computer. Thanks

The downpipe and intercooler pipes may need to be altered to make the kit fit properly.

For the piggyback, it will work with your ECU.

As far as the MVEC, it should not affect it in a negative manner at all.

Jhonny do you think it is worth me doing the engine swap. My stock engine has 83000 miles the ralliart only has 1300 miles its new. So would your kit push the same. Plus would I need a clucht or will the stock hold. My machanic said that the internals are the same is that true? Will the engine be fine if I boost 11.5 psi with out any internal upgrades? Thanks

I know of one 3G with the 4G64 that got boosted at 139,000 miles w/ 8.5psi. He is now regulary running 10-11psi and is up to about 150,000 miles with no problems. To answer your question, no, I do not think it would be worth the engine swap.

The clutch would need to be replaced without a doubt.

The stock internals have run up to 16psi with not one problem.

Any welding shop should have the ability to alter the pipes to make them fit your car.

i thought the the rally art 2.4 was also a 4g64 block. Is that not the case? The engine and work is only going to cost me 2000 dollars
