97 Limited Computer Going Nuts (Electric Problems)

OK, my now daily driver, my black 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee (I-6) is now going crazy. Whenever I park it outside, like over night, or even just cold evenings, and then go to drive it, as soon as it hits a bump or makes a turn the computer goes nuts. It says the liftgate is open but then it turns back to the time. It will do this until the car warms up. Then, the other day, the alarm just randomly went off. If you can help, please do. Thanks for your help.

well I would assume it would be a ground problem, but I dunno how that would be affected buy the engine being warm or cold.

try cheking all the connection to the Computer and display.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know its not just the display because the alert thingy goes off, too(the charm/sound). Where are the connections run? Do you mean just the connection AT the computer, meaning under the rear seat? Thanks for your help.

WOW! I'm retarted, lol, not really but I am now officially and idiot! I guess I should stick to modifying my Mustang. Thanks again.

This might seem far fetched. But I had a similar problem. turned out to morning moisture or from rain causing a bare wire to short out, sort of like plug wires do when they get old. When it warms up the heat from motor dries it out

Jeeper, you might be onto something

SC425, disconnect the electrical connnector from the Computer (PCM) and let it sit for a while, there might be condensation in the connector harness and it is interfering. that makes perfect sense.

this is very common, when ppl spray down the engine, and it gets the computer wet (perfectly safe cuz computer is self sealed, but the harness isn't so sometime water will get inside the connector and will interfere.)
