Im new To this..HELLLLP MEEEEEE

I have a 88 h/b and it runs like SHIT....when i brought it off my friend for 200$ it worked and i needed transprtation to work so it wasnt a bad deal. Then i started realizing only going a stunning 30mph to work wasnt worth it so i decided to hook it up. I put on a msd distributor cap and threw some new spark plugs with a cold air in take on it. It runs ALOT better but all of a sudden i create a 6am atmosphere with all the smoke that comes out my exhaust. My oil leaks like no other and i just dont know where to start or stop at this point....SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO AND XPLAIN IN DETAIL because im tryin to learn all this on ym own and one day help those in need......

your blowin oil, and a lot of smoke,, so i wouldnt be supprised if the rings are bad, which means an engine rebuild

I thought that i would need new head gaskets so i unbolted my header and now i cant detach or pull it away from then engine to get to the gasket....IM LOST SOMEONE HELP

i went to a shop and they said 400$ for a gasket replacment....is this good?

400 seems about normal. More than likely its bad piston rings. I'd get that checked to just incase.

Ive decided to throw in a jdm d15b and not even deal with my current engines hassle....as soon as i get that done ill be in your neighborhoods....

400 normal....Omg where i live honda dealers want b/w 1200-1600.....

And shops want like 800 or 900..

I did mine myself for under 150.

the guy i know does them for 400$....IF YOU KNOW ANYONE SELLING AN ENGINE FOR 300 OR LESS LET ME KNOW...IM IN NEED

You can look on ebay for them..I dont know if you ment vtec d15b but i doubt it but anyways they have them on ebay going for 350 and like 100-200 shipped that wouldnt be a bad motor to swap in your car..

I didnt write back because i was to busy crying from the harsh remarks...but like i said im new...im really big on systems and nowim getting into the engine thing...so here another thing....i went to ebay and i saw some engines for some good prices but is there a diffrence in Hp btw D15b v-tec(130) and a regular jdm d15b or no ( remeber im new)

the vtec (not v-tech) one will make more power

is the diffrence in power a big diffrence or is it slight because i can only find non vtec d15's right now

the engine i orderd is a d15...hopefully thats the correct engine as far as hp(130) or should i of specified a model so i dont end up with the 70 hp one?

thats a header gasket....not a HEAD gasket....the head gasket is between your block and your head....JohnnyM had a D15 for sale for $100 CDN....maybe you can work something out.

yea i figured that part out when i went to the shop...but i think im ordering the same engine as the one i have now...then im just going to save a month and throw in a zc
