E30 2.7l stroker motor

Hello,

I am new to this board but I had a few questions.

I have a 85 323i and 2 parts cars a 524td and a 325es.

From these cars I plan to do a 2.7 stroker motor. Use the es block, 524td crank and the 323i head, rods. pistons and cam. I am getting a chip and header and K&N filter as well. Plus the suspension upgrades and LSD.

Questions:
I should have more HP but I want to keep it a very tourqey motor. This being said should I buy higher compression pistons?
higher duration cam?

Another question is can the Aireasearch turbo be used from the td if I create an exhaust manifold that will fit the m20?

That sounds like an interesting project , and hell of work too , i think everything of this is actually possible , but it's just the question is it worth the work that has to be done... If you want to turbo it don't get high duration cam or high comp pistons , but if not i would give it a try... anyway i don't know how the turbine from the diesel will work with the M20 , i have done something quite similar , i have put the entire engine and drivetrain from an 850 Csi to an E34 with a couple of friends... Anyway i wish you good luck...

My brother and law and I are actually going to do the motor? It will be a fun project that I will document over the net. I hope to have it done in 3 months or so. I am also doing this because we plan to make bolt one m20 performance parts, so this will be a good test as well.....
