...again me ;)
Ok, I decided to lower my car. Ill just go for spring at the moment, which one would u use? And is it a problem if I use 14" rims in the winter months- or longer? Ill go for 4cm lower (I think thats enuff in my eyes)- do I need anythinbg else (I mean really 'need')??

Thx for the support!
And btw does anyone of u have any idea how much the installation will cost?!

I would go with Eibach, that's what I'm getting.
14" won't be a problem for the winter months as long as the overall diameter of the wheel/tire is about the same.

You shouldn't have any problems lowering it 4cm and using 14" rims in the winter. I think it will look pretty cool :D Maybe go with Neuspeed or Eibach springs. Installation would cost you about 50-80 euro in Ireland. Not sure about where you live.

Post pics when your done.

K- I hope it will be nearly the same price here!

It will take awhile, ill first go for the CAI and then lower it!

Get some Eibach or H&R springs. You can´t do anything wrong with them. I´ve heard that ap is very good, too....and not that expensive.

I have lowered my Civic '91 with Eibach pro spring that lowers the about 1,5 inch... also fitted bilstein dampers... still getting a farely smooth ride...

Hey EE9, welcome to the AF Europe forum!
Nice to see a fellow Dutchman with the same ride!
I still have the stock shocks and springs on my EE9, do you remember how much the Eibach's cost you? I'm really interested in them.

Thanks, that doesn't sound too bad.
And how much did it cost you to fit them? I don't have the tools to do that myself. Or did you do it yourself?

I did half the work myself, then a bolt broke :( . I was so mad, grrr, and needed the car for work, so let the remaining work do at my local dealer. It is not 2 difficult 2 do for yourself, but use lots and lots of wd40 before losening the bolts, or warm them up. And get your information from a good manual! I think someone on this forum has this for your car.

Nice EE9, very nice :)
That's the first 4th gen I see with Superlegera's, looks  what's the offset?
Are those 16"s? and what kind off tyre series? 45? 40? (I'm trying to figure out what my wheelgap will be if I lower my car with Eibachs).
Sorry for all the questions :D

Ok, that should give me an idea of what my wheelgab will be.
Thanks. Nice setup BTW :)

Hi,

Nice rims BTW :D, are you considering just the coils or the shock absorbers as well ??

If it's just the coils you are after, try to see if you can find the Ractive coil overs as they are adjustable and the cost is under 150 €uro (at least here in Portugal). They earn a best value for money in a UK magazine (dont remember wich).

If it is the full set-up the bilstien is great (pss9), I have Koni Sport and they are nice too (in here they are also cheaper ;)).

Regards,

Regards, Today I´ve read somewhere here in the forums that Ractive parts are cheap both in price and quality compared to H&R, Eibach,...! The other problem might be that they aren´t street-legal over here because the german `TÜV´ hasn´t tested them. We have very strict laws over here! :(
