Okie. First, set your parking brake, then turn the key on, not start the truck, just turn it on, and put the gear selector into "1". Tilt the steering wheel all the way down and then start popping off the dash trim. All it does is pop off, so you'll just kinda have to find the easiest place to start it. Mine usually starts at the vent. After removing this piece, the radio should just come out by pressing down on the 2 plastic clips on either side of the radio, and pulling it towards you. You then unhook the wiring harness and the antenna wire and your good to go!

Maybe to give you the clearance you need to remove your dash

You have to turn the ingition on to unlock the shift lever to get it out of the way. Makes it easier to remove the trim around the dash.

Well...This probably isn't what most people do but on mine, I ran it into a toggle switch that I mounted in the dash. I wanted to be able to turn the amp off while still listening to the radio. If my amp overheats, I just turn it off and let it cool down or if I just want the radio on quiet, there's no need to have the amp on too. Anyway...your radio should have a remote wire coming out of it.

I dont believe the stock stereos have remote wires or audio outputs. There's probably an adapter you can get to run an amp.

Hey Korndogg,
Does the RCA Adapter thingy fit right into the back of the stock CD player? If so where did you find such a thing?
If you can't find a remote connection on the back of the CD Player I would just attach your remote turn on wire to a 12V Lead that goes on and off with the Key.
I did that with my fog lights and it works great.
Hope the install is going ok.

Cool thanks.
The wire that I used is a Green wire that comes out of an orange power block in the side dash fuse panel.
Open your driver side door.
Open Fuse panel door
Dead center on the bottom of it you'll see the orange block with the green wire coming out of it.
Stick a test light on there and switch your ign on and off; mine works like a treat.
Let me know if you want me to take pics for yah.
