my brother-n-law has a 79 chevy pick-up w/ a 400sb.....a turbo outta of a 98-99 ford powerstroke was givin to him.....is there anyway to install this turbo on the truck.....it has a carb. and can this turbo with stand high rpms from the gas motor

yes, he can install it, but tuning a carbureted turbocharged vehicle is difficult as hell.

It's too much work. I would take a different route. Besides that, twin setups are almost always better and easier for V engines.

It would work, but you'd have to fab up a different manifold (for obvious reasons).

FYI RPMS of an engine have nothing to do with RPM of the turbo charger. its all about exaust flow. the more exaust that flows and the hotter the exaust isthe faster the turbo spins. in excess of 100,000RPM.
