1998 ford explorer alarm light flashing no start???

Hello everyone, My battery was replaced and now the alarm or security light is blinking in the dash. It just cranks over and over but will not start. Does anyone know what I need to do to reset the alarm system or what needs to be done?? Any help would be appreciated.

unplug the battery and reconnect it to power cycle the whole thing again....? Make sure the hood sensor is being pressed down? As far as I know though, the hood sensor can't start the ignition cutoff...

Have you tried resetting the fuel pump cutoff switch? The procedure is detailed in the users manual.

look under the CODES WEBSITE I have on here and look at number 1260. Could be a possible solution.
