Would the 6-speed tranny just bolt right in without any problems?
Do i have to change anything for it to fit or work right?

If you get a 6 speed you have to weld the VCU. All I can say is please please do not do this to a working VCU, find someone with a bad VCU or get a fried one. Plus you will be able to sell the good vcu for a pretty penny.

ya you can throw a 6spd onto a 5spd NA, although the gearing is obviously different, it wouldn't make any difference, just better gas mileage in 6th. as Talksin said, ya, you do have to weld the VCU, in which you should read up on 3si.org about it. but since good VCUs are hard to come by, don't weld yours, instead sell it and get a crappy VCU which you can just weld. Another option, which some guys have done and it works just fine, is to weld the planetary gearset. Definitely read up on 3si.org-->Forums-->FWD-->Forced Induction

crazyquick, just a ?....if you're getting a new block, and a new tranny, why not just get a new 3000gt...less work and you could get one for the same price.

Well my cash is already spent on my car. And it's cheaper for me to do all this instead of buying wehat I want (94vr4-99-6 speed)
And i dont really need a new tranny, just one of the goodies that im looking at for the future. :)
VCU, whats a vcu?
