My rear window defogger isn’t working properly any more. I noticed the other day that on one side the actually wire that attaches to window to run the defogger has come off. Does anyone know how to replace this or attach this back? Any help would be great. Thanks!!!!

This is very common in early 90's s10 blazers. I just pulled off the female plug and stripped the wire back, wrapped the wire through the hole in the male end of the plug, and wrapped it all in black electrician tape. A quick fix and it was done 2 years ago still without a problem. There is not much slack in the line so be careful not to cut off anywire absolutely nessecary. Don't know if there is a fix kit for it you might want to try calling the dreaded Chevy dealership in your area?? Good Luck

What does the window struts have to do with the defogger?

and just a qiuck note..if you use a volt meter to check if you have any breaks in the lines, clip black onto the neg. on the defroster, and make a small ball out of alumin foil and clip this to you meters red line, turn on the defroster and check for current, the foil stops you from scratching though the defroster lines

You can get rear window defooger repair kits. Contains an epoxy that you put on to the connector(may have to attach a new one to the bare wire) and then "glue" to the defogger strip. I did this to mine and it worked and has held. One tip---use a c-clamp to help hold the connector to the window while the epoxy dries. Be very careful with the c-clamp and put electrical tape on the flats of the clamp---that way the clamp doesn't stick to the epoxy. Got this at my local auto parts store.
