85 elcamino

friend of mine has a 85 elcamino with stock motor (would be a 350 right?) he wants me to find him a new one but he has a low budget. I told him I can rebuild his current one. never done a chevy engine before. any links and/or advise? also i have never been paid to do a rebuild how much should I charge him? any and all advise would be appreciated. and for those of you that hate ford ignore my user ID. I hate fords also but I love my mustangs.

first off the 85 stock motor was a 305.not 350 unless someone has changed it.depending on his budget you can find 350s anywhare.I just oicked one up for $800.elderbrock carb,manifold headers ect.look in your papers also get the word out,your looking for one.Depending what your trying to do the 350 is easy to work on.
