3.3 v6 92' grand am keeps stalling

i have a 3.3 v6 92' grand am that i have just purchased a couple days ago on my way bringing it home which was about a 30 min drive about 20 mins in i came up to a road and hit the brakes a little harder than usual up untill this point the cars was driving great after i hit the brakes it started sputtering and what sounded like knocking then it died so i put it in park and started it again it was running a little rough idle was down a bit then when i shifted into drive it stalled and so i tried it with reverse no luck i kept trying for a bit then i left it alone for the night and the next mourning i tried again and it moved fine ran fine but any how i changed the plugs and wires any way figure that might have been the problem but when i took it for a drive i drove for about 30 mins the once again i had to slow down quick and it did the same thing if any body can help please help also i unplugged the square plug on the tranny a friend told me that his car had a problem and if you unplugged it it might stop stalling but no go for me and also my drivers side window will go down and up but somtimes it just stops and then you have to not mess with it for awhile and the it will go up just a little bit and really slow please help me thanks for any input my email is [email protected] if you wish to email me please do also no check engine light is on i have not tested it yet to see if any trouble codes are stored

I have nearly the exact problem with the 92 I just purchased. I noticed you didn't have any public responses, but was hoping you might have received private one's via e mail, or possibly just figured it out for yourself. Were you able to determine a resolve?

i was told that it is the tcc which is inside the tranny its a torque converter lockup solinoid that is sticking or not working ne more i havent had time to replace it yet but in a few weeks ill be replacing it and ill let u know if it fixed my problem
