New Header/Exhaust Install Questions???

Okay, so I got myself a present...JWT S3 Cams, HS Header, Greddy Evo...for being so good..haha...got a couple of questions for those that have them.

Ill be taking it to the Nissan dealer to get the header and cams installed. Ill get the timing set to 15 deg since its advanced now. New plugs, wires, distributor cap, (still have the origional with 85K on the odometer), oil change, tranny fluid change

Do you recomend getting a new 02 sensor?
Does the header come with the header gasket?
Any other things I am missing here?
Other maintainence stuff as well?

Also, Ill be getting the exhaust installed at the local muffler shop. Cut, reflange, install...$45 an hour, seems resonable. Anyone know how long it took them to do this.

Oh yeah, its a 99, thats the reason for the mods on the exhaust.

Thanks in advance....:D

Everything sounds good. You'll need a new header gasket, but they are pretty cheap. Get the stealership to check the O2 sensor for ya.

Enjoy your mods, you'll feel like you bought a brand new car. ;)

You should put on all that stuff yourself. Except for the EVO problem. My HS gen.4 header came with an OEM gasket, copper gasket for primary to secondary and an OEM gasket for the cat. The install on all that stuff is pretty straight forward. If this is the first time doing major work, you might want to consider a mechanic for installing the cams. My cousin and I did my cam install no problem. Valuable knowledge for future work.

I figure I could do the cam install myself, but, I have to retard the timing to 15 deg. I dont know how to do that and dont feel like buying a $100+ timing light Ill probably only use once...The header I could do, but since I need general maintiance on the vehicle, and I dont have a whole lot of time on my hands these days thats why Im going to the dealer to get it done...besides, if they mess it up Ill be covered...

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it..

That's what you think! ;) They'll just blame it on the parts.

You can get a timing light for about $25. Tools are an investment.

Tools are definatley an investment for me. Ive got two machines totaling $150K plus another $35-$50K in tools alone...so I know what you mean.

They'll just blame it on the parts.

Yeah, I know that, but its the install that Im concerned with...Besides the owner, Dan, likes to install the performance goodies on cars. Hes got a hopped up 300ZXTT that is SWEET!! And is always helpful when I go to him...
