What exactly does a choke thermostat do?
And does any one have a good site for buying high quality parts cheap?

The above article is one of the best guide's to the operation of a Carb that I've read and as for locating parts there are a ton of sites depending on what your looking for. If your looking to go fast I would say www.jegs.com or www.summitracing.com . If where talking original equipment www.gmpartsdirect.com is a good site. If you want cheap retail www.carparts.com . If you want a used part/salvage yard part locater www.car-parts.com . Well you get the point. there's tons more just depends on what your looking for.

I think the inner fender wall has to come out and its not a job for the faint of heart. I have a 70 formula and 73 TA.

I think I had that same problem on my 71 Skylark. I ended up cutting a hole in the fender well, and then bolting a plate on it to cover the hole.

jack the car up by the frame..so the wheel hangs as low as it can...unbolt the inner fender and it should fall enough that you can reach up in and remove the blower motor..its a very easy process
