how to install a new speedo cable?

so i take my old speedo cable out by pulling in from inside the car. i just got my new cable and wonder how to put it back in. i tried feeding it in from the outside......doesn't work. if i try feeding it from the inside, how will the rubber boot that stays on the outside get through? any help would be appreciated.

you screwed up when you pulled the old one out. What i did was tape the end of the new one onto the end of the old one and pulled it through.

problem is, i dont know where the hole is in the inside. not sure where it's at cuz it's like covered somewhere.

u have the guage cluster off, u can see it from underneath but u can see it when u have the cluster assembly off

hmmm you positive? lol i think i'll bring in a flashlight tomorow to look at it closely. i couldn't see the damn firewall hole :(
