Labour Weekend here this weekend, and there are no less than four great motorsport events within easy travelling distance from my home..
Street Drags.
Organised public drags on closed public streets, featuring all the usual extras, burnout comps etc,and a demonstration run or two from a 1500hp Jag....
Mustang Rally
The Mustang Club of New Zealand are holding their annual national convention about 15 minutes from my home. Could be a good trip if they don't see my Skyline.
Targa Rally
Another national event, with stages passing through my patch, featuring some of thre South Pacific's top rally drivers. Weather is looking good too.
Custom Bike and Hot Rod show.
A chance to see some of the best in fabrication and custom work under one roof. And drinik beer.W00t!
So which would you choose for a day out,and why?

Custom Bike and Hot Rod. While its nice to see some races from time to time, its not uncommon to see the same cars. At the shows where they bring in the custom rides, I don't often get to see repeaters.

you can never go wrong with drags. i own a mustang myself, so that would be pretty cool too.
ah, i voted custom mainly because you said drink beer. i would love to see the incredible detail they go into.

Targa!!!!! Why consider any of the others?
I chose the Targa for the following reasons:
-Lanica Delta Integrale
-Bentley Continental GT
-Peugeot 205 T-16 Group B Car
-996 911 GT3 RS
-A whole host of other GT3's
-Ferrari F355
-BMW 2002 Turbo
-Lot's of old FIAT's
-Sierra RS Cosworths
etc.
So much dream-machinery, but I'm stuck in Exam week :(

i would rather go to astreet drag, a better atmosphere and more excitement plus you chat to the guys and gals about their cars and get loads of pics and insane speeds (if you want to go that is!)
