My dad's first car was a light yellow 67 camaro. Recently, Radio Shack came out with a red 67 camaro Xmod (1:28 scale RC car). I just got one to give to my dad as a present but want to paint it first. Does anyone know what the official name of the light yellow color used on this car was?

Not sure where you are located, but I have done something similar.

There is a body-shop supply place around here that also will custom mix paint.
You can even get them to custom mix a small amount that is pre-mixed to work with a little aerosol sprayer.

I painted a 68 Camaro model Marina Blue.

I was able to just walk up to the counter and order an aerosol application in 1968 Camaro paint code, umm.. well whatever the paint code was.

Took about 5 minutes, and about 18 bucks.

Guess it would have helped if I gave you the company name.

The company is Finish Master, and they have a store locator at:
http://www.finishmaster.com/locations.html

Also where I buy paint for when I paint a full size project.
Just make sure you use a good primer before you paint.
Sometimes the automotive paint will eat into the plastic.

Check the Automotive Art section, under plastic models.
You should be able to find some good tips about what primers to use, etc...
