Yenko Stinger Camaro

As requested on the regular board... Built as a fun quick build in one week, this is the R/M '69 Z/28. Out of the box per IPMS National rules.
Only addition is some custom made decals.

Not to be confused with a Yenko Super Coupe. Think "sports" car instead of "drag" car. - Mark

I feel sick. That is just way too good. Makes me feel like a right farty pants no-skill. That's probably because i am though.

Was the stinger camaro an actual option? I've never heard of a "stinger" camaro...Only corvairs.

Thanks,
William

Normally I associate Yenko Stinger with Corvair Monza coupes, but this looks good too. I love the graphics and the subtle weathering on the engine.

There is no doubt this car is an awesome build i was curious as to whether a car existed like that 1:1 scale. I'm a camaro fanatic and wanted to know if one had slipped my knowledge. Congrats on the build it looks amazing.

Thanks all. It is a fantasy phantom. I went on the premise of a Yenko road racing version like the Corvairs were, sort of a cross over car, which would have used a small block, instead of the big block like drag Super Coupes. I liked the corvair scheme and adapted it to the Camaro and made up a logo incorporating the Yenko shield. The gauges I used are from a '69 Corvette, "off the shelf GM items". All parts are GM of 1969. It was just a fun whim I built for a common kit contest held last Labor Day, I did it out of the box so I'd finish it quickly. - Mark

What might be cool is getting a Z28 model and building a Motion performance TT350. They made VERY few but Motion Performance had several models available besides the phase III and one was a twin turbo small block and there were a few others.

Amazing! What a beauty; very tricky too, the paint work makes it look far more detailed than box stock. Gorgeous! This model must have taken you months!

Built as a fun quick build in one week....

Oh. Well, in that case...
