For all you deep thinkers

Im sure everyone old enough to have heard it, at least once in there life, has thought to themselves "WTF is Hotel California" about?

I've heard a lot of theories, but I cant decide. My best guess is that its about a drug addiction.

Anyone else got any theories?

2. about an actual hotel.

3. about a mental institution

4. a metaphor for cocaine addiction

5. about life in Cali in the 1970's.

My best guess is its about life in the Cali during the 70's.

Didn't they do something on Hotel California on some VH1 show that talks about the true stories behind songs?
