Steering Wheel Controls

I just installed my Panasonic CQ-C8300U Deck in my 2000 Grand Prix SE and was wondering if it is easy to configure the steering wheel interface module in order to keep your stering wheel buttons. I would prefer to do it myself rather than pay someone else to do it, but i wasn't sure if it was something that was easy enough for me to figure out. And if you can configure it easily is there a certain brand that's easier to configure yourself? I know that there are two or three different modules out there. Any help would be appreciated.
