I am looking at buying a new car, I live where the weather sucks, so it needs to be allwheel drive, I wanted to get an opinon from you guys about the gti. My sister owens a DTI, and that thing sucks balls, but I was reading about the GTI and it sounded good. Their AWD right? what do you guys think is better, a GTI, and AUdi A4, a Lancer, or a WRX? let me know what you like and dilike about this car. Thx

TDI you mean? it's fuel saving, and the amount of torque at the low end makes it an extremely drivable car in everyday life

GTIs are FWD, the only Golf that's AWD is the R32 (or the 2.8 V6 Haldex drive 4motion Golf, which is not sold in America), that car is pretty expensive though, and it's not exactly meant for "sucky weather", it's AWD is strictly for performace

Audi A4 is good with audi's legendary quattro AWD system
but it's an Audi, the price ain't cheap

Lancer is not AWD either, the Evolution is, but are you sure you want that one? it's not good for everyday driving..

and WRX, good AWD system, decent priced, nice power
but if power doesn't matter, just get the 2.5 Impreza, it's also AWD and lots cheaper

but, what you gotta tell us is the price range and what you are gon do with the car, and does performace matters?

etc. etc.
