parking brake 96 neon

Today I pulled my parking brake lever on my 96 neon (manual) and I think the cable snapped....any suggestions on how to replace it?

runs from under console to rear breaks. might get lucky and its a 2 piece cable.

I was able to get to it by removing the armrest portion of the console...the cable that broke was the 8-10" cable that connects the brake lever to the pair of cables that go to each rear tire....I had to remove the lever to get part of the cable out so now all I need to do is find the part and put it all back together....thanks for the input...

any ideas where I might get just the cable.....the dealership says I need to purchase the lever assembly to get the cable....$80....um...not gonna do that...I know I could go to the junkyard...but there aren't any around here....any suggestions?
