Ignition

I just purchased a used of course 96 RIvi SuperCharged. I'm having difficulties starting. When I fire it up it seems it like it's not getting enough spark at first and then I release the cranking and try agian and it starts right up like my newer vehicles. I don't know what to do? Can somebody lend a helping hand?
