mk3 alarm

the otehr day i went to turn my key in the door to turn the alarm on and the horn diddnt beep, but the alarm light went one and all the down windows went up. my question is how do i get the horn to beep again

Same experience on my 95 gls, if it doesn't beep it means one of the 6 possible open things is open, 4 doors, trunk and the hood. In my case it was the hood, there is a little switch that gets pushed when you close the hood, if it's not in the right place it will not close and there will be no beep with the alarm. Try closing, flash but no beep, then go and carefully push the hood on the drivers side a little, if the alarm goes on then you found the problem. :smokin:
