Currently my truck is dropped 2". I bought it that way. What I really want is to raise it up to about 2-3" taller than stock. I know I can "flip" the rear springs (and lose the lowering blocks) to raise the rear up to about the height I want. But what about the front?? I read that it can be lowered 3" by twisting the torsion bar bolts, but what about raising? And do I need different shocks? Thanks! Your expertise is in dire need!

I noticed a lot of people have read this thread but haven't replied. I can't seem to find any info on this subject except for a Raider that had been lifted by turning the torsion bars. Please, if you have any ideas -let's hear 'em! I'm dying to install my new, larger wheels and tires but need a couple more inches of clearance. Anyone have a clue? (cuz I don't)

In researching I have not found alot of info on the subject but think you would have to run drop spindles with all the necessary hardware. You might weigh the cost for yourself for a 2 wheel drive vehicle especially when mazda 4x4s can be had for cheap. I paid $1500 for a clean 91 2600i 4x4 with 126K.

Hey man, thanks for the reply! I just installed a 1 1/2" Pro-Comp add-a-leaf kit on the rear from my local 4 Wheel Parts supply for $30. I also put on the 16" Xterra wheels and it looks great! Well... I still have to crank up the torsion bars in the front but things are looking good. Now if the weather would just cooperate... I'm very excited about the huge increase in ground clearance. (Remember, I took out the 2" drop blocks at the same time.) It looks like a TRUCK again! Anyone know whether or not stock shocks will work on a 1 1/2 inch lift?
