Good luck finding a buyer with all those mods on the car... i suggest parking it at a couple colleges in a high traffic area with a for sale sign to get some advertising out there.

7 grand is reasonable especially considering the mileage.

Again, the hardest part will be finding a buyer... not much demand for a riced out domestic car.

riced out? how do you figure? let me guess...m3 mirrors and z3 fenders make it "riced out" :screwy:

I would say stock the car is valued at about $6500 in good condition, check here for the value of the car kkb.com but unless you sell to a younger person that wants all the mods I do not think you could get much more for the car.

Just my 2 cents.

you'd probably make more money putting it back as stock as you can and selling all the parts on ebay.

why spend the money on a ported intake and LSD but have no real power adders?

BLU CIVIC

he had more stuff and sold it....but was a work in progress but got tired of it...he tore up his tranny racing and got his g/f to buy him a new tranny with LSD

riced out? how do you figure?

Let me answer for you:

Evo body kit, Molded side skits, Shaved Body lines, Hella fog lamps, Chrome gas cap, M3 mirrors with LEDs, 3 piece mid-wing

Notice the evo body kit? The wing? Just a few things. I could go into more detail but i won't. Please read carefully before giving me the 'screwy' look.

These are just a FEW things based on the original that make me 'figure' it's 'riced out'.

no but m3 mirrors, body kit, wing, fenders, Molded side skits, Shaved Body lines, Hella fog lamps, Chrome gas cap, Autometer guage pod
Exterior color matched interior pieces

on a car tah can only problably run 15.8 IS rice, all you have perfromacne wise is a nice suspention, intake, and exaust, but have all that money done to the apperance. for the appernace cost you could have had a head package.

BLU CIVIC

so body work that is done to a car makes it rice....do you even know what rice is...besides some played out word... :screwy: i guess the car has to be fast to be accepted among my peers  do you people even know what a work in progress :disappoin

zx2srdotnet

yeah and most SMART people stick the the rule Go b4 Show. teh ony reason a car has fro being lightly performance moded and heavily apperance wise is that it is an automatic.

BLU CIVIC
10-28-2004, 12:17 PM
what??

SMART people are everywhere...most IGNORANT people would repeat what you just typed...you have no idea what as to what your talking about...apparently you have this vision in your head that everyone who buys a car has to make it fast...better yet...every thing that they buy for their car has to make it fast...that is called being "narrow minded"

I agree with blu, all the rice comments have gotten WAY to far. its such a played out word now and if ur car looks nice but its slow, its considered rice. i think everybody should stfu with the rice comments. my car is a project, people call it rice, i dont see how. yes it looks rough but i dont car because its a PROJECT. but it is still fast. i wasnt gonna buy a motor, i was gonna get a kit for it and paint it then i came across a motor for cheap so i picked it up. now i havent touched the body work for awhile because i'm lackin funds, do i care about driving around with a half painted car? no. do people call it rice? yes but they shut there mouth after my car out runs them either in a straight line or in corners

see imo its stupid o have a slow ass car that LOOKS fast cuz anytime a person wants to race you'll lose. for instance if i used the money spent on apperance of your car i'd be in the 14's, and that would get more respent then the guy that looks nice but runs high 15's like yourself.

10-28-2004, 09:45 PM
but what you dont understand is that not everyone is about going fast, alot of people like show because they like a nice clean looking car. i'd take a clean looking car over a fast one anyday. i kinda rather my car all kitted out and looking nice as hell right now. i dont see where u grasp the concept that looks over speed = rice.... its not rice, rice is someone putting NOS, APC, Type R stickers etc.... on there car when its bone stock and thinking there the shit, rice is having a HUGE aluminum coffee table on the back of ur car, Rice is having a jacked up car with a tin can muffler on the back that sounds like a wet fart. something that looks clean and goes slow.... not rice, something that looks like a total POS all stickered up with a huge aluminium wing and tin can muffler at stock ride height... = RICE!

before you start throwing that word around at any cars ever again. think hard about it. is it rice? or do u just think its ugly? theres a huge difference there

zx2srdotnet
10-28-2004, 10:16 PM
see i'd rather have say a 12sec 86 accord then a new cobra, why? cuz i respect the guy that spent the time to build his own machine, not the guy that just bought one, and people can laugth al they want at how it looks, but when u pop the hood to KILLL them at the track they have no choice but to shut up.

after I get out of college i plan on either"

1. getting a 1st gen Escort and putting a zx2 zetec in it and getting the body restored to look stock with a new paint job(no one would think it would have 150+whp)

2. getting a 1st gen i4 Taurus and giveing it a KILLER turbo build up

or if i have the money

3. import a Zetec-R 250 and put it in either a old escort or zx2

all 3 would produce a car that NOBODY would expect

The very definition of 'rice' is based on the simple saying of 'all show and no go'. Does that spell it out enough for you?

I haven't a problem with people that want to make their cars look good. I do the same with my old boat. But making it look good and making it look like something it's not are two completely different things.

I'm not narrow minded, i'm basing this opinion on fact.

so what ur trying to say is that every single show car out there with a stock motor is RICE? its not, its a nice looking car. like i said earlier, stickers, huge wings etc are rice because its ghey and ur trying to make it look like ur stock probe has 400 hp because it has stickers and a huge un-godly wing and its jacked up 4x4 style. the whole "all show no go" thing isnt based on rice. if its rice, it aint nice, meaning it looks like ass

zx2srdotnet
10-30-2004, 06:58 PM
no anyone that puts about 4-5k in apperance and only like 1500 in power adders and thinks they are fast is rice.

teh ONLY excuses for spending most of you money on apperance and not on power is either that you have an automatic, under warrenty, or you a flat out idiot.
Look around on the streets its the guys with all the show and no go that get made fun of, not the guys that have a beat 86 accord and run 13's

BLU CIVIC
10-30-2004, 07:43 PM
not everyone who invest money into the appearance of their car races or considers their car "fast"...and the definition of "rice" isn't all show and no go...that's ur definition...so i guess every car that has a body modification to you is considered "rice"

zx2srdotnet
10-30-2004, 09:50 PM
since when is rice NOT all show and no go?
show me any car that is rice yet is all go and no show, its not possible. anyone that buys a car and spends a lot more on apperance then go "rices" it, anyone that thinks such a car is actually fast based on looks is a "ricer" that how it is and how its been since the 80's

with all the money invested in that car you are probably only putting down about the same HP as i am stock, and my car has less weight and better gearing then a focus.

BLU CIVIC
11-01-2004, 08:19 AM
so you think i'm gonna race the car...i know the mods on the car and all the numbers say, and even after the mods i know itz not that fast...so........now ur sayin that if someone thinks a car is fast.....that car becomes a ricer....and people have been doing this since the 80's??

the point you keep missing is that not everyone cars about #'s which you seemed to have based ur life around...

zx2srdotnet
11-01-2004, 11:29 AM
you can say all you want, but when it comes down to its its the #'s that get you respect, not how good you looked loosing.

1PhatCX
11-01-2004, 01:20 PM
what world do u come from? #'s dont get u respect. not being an asshole gets u respect. if ur a complete asshole, noone has respect for you, like me, i have no respect for you because ur an asshole that thinks your car has to be fast for someone to be respected. ur a fuckin idiot! and since when has rice been around since the 80's? the term rice has been used for like the past what? 10 years, if that? so thats what? hmmm. 1994, but wait, the tuning scene wasnt really big back then, it didnt really become big untill like 97 - 98 then it got even bigger when fast and the furious came out and kids started copying that. i'll tell u this, i've owned my car for 2 years. and for the past 8 i've wanted a honda civic for ever. people call it rice because it looks like ass. i tell them its a project, i ask them, do u see any stickers? a huge table on the back? some ungodly hood scoop, chrome accessiories that look outta place? nos floor mats? fuzzy seat covers? no, none of that on my car. the only stickers are from the factory. this is a project car hence the fact it looks so rough. yes i have gauges thrown in there, and yes they are all functional. no i dont have shit on my car thats not functional. everything serves a purpose. my car is not rice.
