Well, since I felt good enough to wash the Stealth I took some pictures. I'm going to do the brakes, shine the tires, remove the rear windshield wiper, and replace the shifter knob, boot, and e-brake boot. Now if I could only pick out some tweeters I could finish the stereo. Anyhow, I'll get some more pics and some pics of the GTC this weekend:

I'm removing the entire arm. Sadly you have to remove the wing to do that. Here are a couple more pics:

Well, thanks. She's clean, but I've seen cleaner. Funny though, you guessed exactly why I chose a first gen Stealth over a VR4. However, I would buy a second gen VR4 over a Stealth for the same reason. :)

i consider the 99 3kgt not a different gen just a special edition. if it went in the USA till like 01 or something then yea different gen. but if it had lasted till 01 i'm thinking they'd still b making it, cause the 350z came out the next yr

i don't think they would have because the eclispe became there sports coupe v6 in 2000. also they brought the evo to the usa in 2002 which is not the frist time they brought it to the usa. i hread that they had bought it over before but didn't sell good so they stop selling them in the usa. but i don't know if its true or not. oh and when they were here they were using the miarge ( or how ever you spell it) and the lancer. but like i said i don't know if it is true.

idk bout the evo...nothing much at all. just 4cyl with awd and around 295hp(evo X). never driven one, only seen 10 or so.
i can see what ur saying bout the eclipse...but dont u think that if they wanted to keep the GTO/3kgt they woulda uped the power to make it a different class.
only real reason they got rid of all the cars in the 3/s class(by 00) was because the american market was changing over to SUV and Vans. that little niche for the grand tourers went away basically. till 03 the only gt in around the same hp group woulda been a stang/camaro/and firebird. actually and the fact that for the price of a 99 vr4 u coulda gotten a vette...and by then the vettes had decent performance numbers. granted if u want a vette u get a vette if u want a japanesse sports car u get urself a jap sports car.
neways just a bit off-topic.
but yea polygon i love the background. if u could photoshop the church out and put more mountains u could probably seel it as a poster...hey even with the church u could. i'd buy one(i own a 92 stealth tt white, no one wuold ever know)

hows it drive?
i've only ever driven the saturn sky in redline trim. nothing else from them. the cobalt ss i raced was quick(bet my stealth). and even tho i say the cobalt is better looking, i wouldnt care if i had the money to go out and by either, i'd b happy.

It drives really good, i like the suspension. Its stiff enough to not have body roll, but soft enough so you dont bounch like a ricer. It feels kinda like the stealth on ecs. And i really like how quick the supercharger kicks in and it really pulls all the way to redline hard....Ill get a video sometime too. Right now i think it is probably the fastest car at my school...or right up there. But that will change this weekend when my friend gets his 1999 camaro z28. Nice Stealth picture. While I like F-bodys, I have decided I will not buy one. For one thing they break a lot, they handle terribley, and the interiors in them are horrendous! But if you like buying a car to fix often that can go in straight line and burn up UnGodly amounts of premium fuel, the F-body may just be for you.

Nice looking ride! I remember you were looking for one before. How many miles? etc?
Thanks! I'm thrilled with the car. Its really clean. Nice and shiny and straight too. Its got 71k miles on it and just had the 60kj service.
I got it by posting a wanted ad on the yahoo board. Actually 2 spyder owners replied. The other spyder was black with higher miles (and he wanted more money). So I got the red one.
It was located in Sacremento California. I live in Delaware, so I paid an inspection company to check it out and send me a report. It worked out well, so I had it shipped across the country to me!
I think the collector car market is in a slump. The spyders have really come down. I paid $18500. I'm up to $20000 because of the pre inspection, shipping then the DMV title tag thing. I think 20 is a steal for one of these cars!

I agree with the above qoute. Where can you find a drop top with a desirable look, fast-fun performance and extremely low production for 20 grand?
And even better, when its time to sell you should at least get your money back. Maybe even make a few bucks if you hold on to it long enough.
I can't see these cars dropping any lower. Thats why I took the plunge. I would be really surprised if you could pick up a nice one in a couple of years for less. I believe at some point, their value will start to pick up.

man...its so impressive that a 16 year old car can hold its own so well, both looks and performance, sitting next to a new car like that. The lines of the stealth are just...better.
not knocking the Ion, but the stealth is just putting it to shame in that picture. I'm sorry man, I know they're great performing cars, its just very obvious that the stealth was designed with sporting pretences in mind, and the ion was designed to be a grocery-getter, and later adapted to the sports car role.
dont take that as an insult of the Ion...but a compliment on the Stealth and how well taken care of it is. After all...this is a 3/s forum

I agree 100% with you Blink. I have wanted to get so many different cars that are upscale in performance to my SL but they sure don't look like it. If my SL was RWD, faster, and more reliable, I am not sure I would ever own another car. Nice pics though.

do u have a lift in the left side garage, or just a bigger vehicle that needs a taller garage?
i'd take either, they hold their own against the other. the stealth was designed for performance, the ion, not so much, but saturn(gm) did a good job with making it better.
the only car like it that i'd never touch is the caliber srt4...too much a soccer mom car
here's how it goes...if i had a clean lisence i'd take the stealth, but as of right now i'd take the saturn to keep cops away from me...tho the neon never helped with that(all my tickets were in the neon except one...damn 944 with jersey plates)

I agree 100% with you Blink. I have wanted to get so many different cars that are upscale in performance to my SL but they sure don't look like it. If my SL was RWD, faster, and more reliable, I am not sure I would ever own another car. Nice pics though.
my thoughts EXACTLY... of course i have almost the exact car as you lol, but mine is mtx and yours is atx right?

As far is know. I haven't changed them. I doubt the other owners did either.

second one is the best...fog lights look like mine, and mine are stock.
as for the r/t vs. ion, i'd rather have the ion over ur r/t...provided the ion is m/t. i dont like auto's. yea i can screw up a m/t but i did drop the neons tranny out and that was a 3spd auto. granted i think im past fwd cars for a long time. liking awd and rwd way too much. hell i'm done with fwd, i need a family sedan i'll just get a subaru

Yeah the redlines only come in manual. And to your other question, we put the stealth AND ion in the big stall. They fit with a few extra feet

they are stock for stealths, not for 3000's. :sunglasse different fogs stock, i like the look of the 3k not lit better, but the look of the stealths when lit lol

u know i've never even noticed wat mine look like lit...i just know they work. and the only 3kgt i've seen close enuf only one fog worked, and she never turned it on. i do agree tho, not lit the 3kgt fogs look nicer.

that must only b with the ion...the sky was available with a 4spd auto...
and damn, that must b a nice garage, both in one...i wish i could do that with my cars. the stealth sadly sits under a tree in the turn around, and the porsche(wen it's not in the shop) sits right next to it or in a car port(w/o the f'n sides!!!)

thanks...i didnt post these to give you an idea. haha, hot3000 logged in as me while i was sleeping and posted these. i have them on my myspace...the original full colored ones.
in the last group there was also a red 95 r/t tt across the parking lot(sandwiched between two 18wheelers), and the owner of the white one also has a 91 r/t tt. this one being only an r/t...good condition tho. his daily driver with 290whp...
