Parts On Order...

I hit up DSMtrader for the past week or so, and found myself a fmic and 14b.

The fmic is the infamous Starion, but it has modified endtanks which are enlarged and have 2.5" inlet and outlet. I paid $100 shipped for the core, and I figure I'll be able to reuse the piping I buy if/when I upgrade cores. 2.5" inlets and outlets combined with front mount--HAS to be better than the small stock sidemount ;).

The 14b I picked up for $110 shipped, and it is coming with all of the stock 1g oil and water lines. The guy says it has minimal shaft play (1 mm at most), so hopefully it will be decent. I'm thinking about getting an SS oil feed line from the filter housing instead of using the stock 1g feed line. Anyone have thoughts on whether this is a good or bad idea?

Damn you are lucky, i wont a 14b!!! But there is only one problem, i have not $$$!!! So if your board and dont know what else to do to your car you can send me some $$$ too!!! Spread the wealth!!! lol Definitly put some pics up when you get the stuff!

I wuld also go to the filter housing for oil supply, on any conventional bushing style turbo. For a BB turbo, you would want to take it from the head.

Wow, thats a good bit of HP. I'm not terribly surprised though, going to a test pipe on my car with the 14b was worth ~15 HP. I picked up 1.5 mph from it.

Very nice! I too will be getting a 14b very soon from a local DSMer that is upgrading :naughty: . Since I'm a good friend of his, he's selling it to me for $50! :iceslolan Anyways, I really want to see what you think about the 14b and that front mount when you get it on the car! I'll surely let you know about my 14b when I get it :)

last day at the track is this sunday (23rd) and i am planning on trying to hit 12s with the 14b. dont think it will happen on FWD but i know i can atleast get into the 13s! gunna spend all night sat tuning and setting up everything for race gas! should be a fun time... a lot of DSMs are goin to be there

Anyway, yea Joe sounds good with the buying and all...as school goes...i know how you feel man i have two midterms and two papers do this week and im not happy at all about it...so keep on truckin'.but yea to help my depression ill have san adreas thrusday and hopefully my catback will come in today or tomorrow...but since im at school im gonna have to have a place install it cause all my tools are home. So ill be depressed again for spending money when i could just have something done myself! But then ill drive and ill be happy.

But yea whenever your depressed just spend money or play video games....the problem and solution to all of lifes problems! And if you dont have money at the time....pretend like your buying something and its a really long wait for the mail to arrive.
