ok guys i wanna know what yall think about installing a 94 LT1 motor in an 87 chevy p/u with TBI. i have the motor and it is originally out of a 94 buick roadmaster (caprice) and has 160,000 miles on it, but it was driven by old folks. ive done all the research on finding parts for this swap and with a lot of looking found all them. the list includes either a edelbrock or GM performance intake that would switch the motor over to a carb. and an adapter from transdapt to convert the carb intake to TBI. sounds easy enough........right???
my list of goodies already installed on the truck include a new computer, hypertech chip, helix TBI spacer, custom built 3in. cold air intake, eletric fan, long tube headers, custom built exhaust, 91 TA 700r4 trans, and a new 10in. tourque converter. all this is bolted to an engiine with over 218,000 miles on it.
i do intend to rebuild the LT1.

if your going to rebuild the engine i'd go with a stroker kit. i'd rather have extra torque for getting the truck off the line.
