For all you SC maxs, I was just wondering how much 9 psi of boost equals on a HP scale(and please specify if that is estimated or true dyno reading). Thinking about saving up for a SC and getting a 3.33in UDP but feeling a bit power hungry and and considering 3.25in then try my hand at the drag strip on weekends (but might be a bit insane for regular street driving usage on weekday) . Also is fuel ratio adjustment needed for 9psi of boost(3.33in pulley)?I am possitive adjsutments will be needed for a 3.25 pulley. Thanks in advance

With calculations, 9 psi would equal a 3.33" SC pulley. You can keep the stock FMU disc (6:1) in your car. If you decide to run the 3.25" SC pulley, you would need a newer belt (Gates part number K060705) and a larger FMU disc (purchase 8:1 recalibration kit from http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com ).

You mentioned UDP. Are you using a UDP with your supercharger?

I'm not even sure what boost is, after i posted the thread i kept looking for it but all I got were sites bragging about boost and/or selling stuff to give me more. Please help:(

Your car always operate in vacuum, meaning it'll suck in as much air as I can. When you boost, you are giving the car more air than it can take in normally. You are basically force feeding the car with more air. That extra air over 0 atmospheric pressure is boost. I hope my explanation is simple enough to understand.

I can't show you how 9 PSI (pounds per square inch) feels like. Ever feel the air coming out of a leaf blower? Sort of like that.

You're welcome. :)
