What am I missing??? R/R intake and carb...followed Haynes to the letter...Set block at TDC, marked distributor at #1 plug prior to removing. Now engine will not fire??? I have troubleshooted and know it's not fuel related! Has to be spark or lack thereof! Bought truck from one of the guys from Deliverence...needless to say, wiring has been riged in a major way!!! Have attempted retiming by hand cranking and r/r the distributor again...no luck! Am wondering if it's how I have the electronic choke connected? Per conversation w/ Holley rep, it's tied into the W/W motor...there are two wires going to it, yellow and lt blue...I chose yellow? Checked o.k. w/ meter????
Getting :screwy:
UPDATE 1: Now I have NO POWER!!!!!!! Thinking my starter and/or solenoid has shorted out! Ran new main ignition wire from solenoid to ignition switch. Tried to start...heard a zap, then nothing! Now when I'm troubleshooting wires, still got 12 volts at the battery???
UPDATE 2: Fried the starter!! Replaced and now back to square one. Whatz worse is I'm TDY and can't mess with it again till Thanksgiving! I'm 99% sure I've got the distributor 90 to 180 degrees off...
:bananasmi SOLVED!!! For those "Shadetree Engineers"...the engine must be at TDC on the compression stroke NOT the exhaust stroke!! Also, make sure the distributor is back in the EXACT same place you took it out...and I mean EXACT!!!

Oh and thanks for nothing forum viewers...you all looked at this post 113 times and not a single reply! WTF?
Scared of a real problem? Sorry this was more involved than debadging or some other crap!!
