hey i am going for a showey interior considering i have an sl and unless i put a tt conversion in i cant do much for the engine cept smaller stuff so i was wondering if anyone knew what kinda guages i could put in a guage pod on my piller.... such as a/f ratio, exhaust temp and things like that....... so if anyone could help me with what guages would make sense to put in an sl that i could actually use........

personally, i HATE the guage pillar pod. if i were gonna put some extra guages on my car, i'd go with a setup on top of the dash, directly above the existing 3 guages. below is a pic of exactly what i was thinking of, its from Erik Gross, he's selling these, but they're designed for the 94 2nd gen model which didn't have as pronounced curves as the 1st gen does (i have a 93 3000GT base).
i think these would look sooo much better than the guage pillar pods, and its also very unique...nobody else has these, and everyone else has those boring guage pillar pods.
of course, these would need to be cut in order to install the guages, and you would need to either make a hold in the top of the dash for wiring, or run the wires through the dash defrost vents if you didn't wanna cut the dash. but you'd have to glue or screw this guage cluster on top of the dash, so why not run wires through there too? And obviously, this could be sanded and painted to give it an excellent appearance!
