89 taurus problem , dies when idle

ya so i have a 89 ford taurus , it sat for like 8 years i crashed my camaro and now have to drive it , it ran ok for a month maybe then recently it started to act up , first it would just die if i was moving slow and had to turn the stearing wheel , got worse in like 2 days , now if i start it up and let it idle it will die if i dont give it a little gas , if i make a turn and i dont have my foot on the gas a little it will die even goin like 40mph
havnt goten to pull the plugs y et and look at them just wanted to post
is this a common issuse ?
