Why because it's a GNX with 90 miles on it that's why!!! I would drive it maybe once in a while

What a waste, cars are supposed to be driven not to be placed upon a pedestal and gazed at. I mean the engine is most likely fubar'd unless the owner ran the engine for like 15 minutes a week, which I don't beleive he did since there is only 90 fuckin' miles on it.

that car was pretty much GM's last glory, Corvette notwithstanding

My dad was telling me that most of the people that bought those brand new from the dealer, hauled them away on enclosed trailers, never to be driven, such a shame

yep. it'll probably at least need a complete rebuild now, with all new hoses, belts, gaskets, fluids, and other things, seeing as how it is not even out of the break in period.

It's a waste to have never driven that car. It would be nice to take that out on a weekend and go hunt VIPERS.

it might have a lot to do with the rarity of the car, and it may be damn ugly now, but it wasn't 17 years ago when it was built. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The interior is fucking hideous.
refer to the above... also, the main purpose of that car was to be a sleeper... no one would expect a buick to be fast.

I think they look great on the outside, but the interior is horseshit.

It must be in the eye of the beholder because i think the Turbo Regals are absolutely freakin gorgeous.
And dont question those engines durability, the GM 3800 N/A or Turbo were some of the stoutest engines GM built. After 17 years though it probably does need a minor rebuild done to it.

My car. The GNX had a different gauge cluster. that and the pic was taken by my cell phone.

signs of the times. All looks but no power to back anything up... Why is it everyone thinks that a boxy chevelle is so awesome looking and stuff like that but, the GN/GNX is such a horrible looking car.....
I guess it does not matter that the GN/GNX is on hemmings top ten MUSCLE CARS to collect. Or the fact that they have bottomed out and are starting to appericate in value after 18 years. Or that with under 2 grand in mods you can be in the 11's on pump gas and still have a full weight car. Or the fact that with about 700 bucks in suspension, the GN/GNX can handle with the best of them (come on, they used the same body in nascar.)
yeah, and its still a buick...
That was one of the most stupid comments made. Yea, it's still a Buick, well it's still a honda or a mazda, or a toyota. To alot of people, these name don't exactly scream performance, but people still make them fast.

When they made the Turbo Trans am in 1989 (same engine as the GN/GNX) they tried a five speed behind it. The car was a full second slower. turbo cars and automatics go together like peas and carrots. You only spool up once, you don't lose boost everytime you shift.

It is a GNX, thats why. There is a Difference between a Grand National and a GNX. they made over 14k GN's in 1987 but only 547 GNX's. People who bought thoes cars bought them as an investment. They are collector cars. here check it out.
here is a NADA book value for a GN
