Removing Shit knob

I'm trying to remove the push-button shift knob off of my 2002 blazer xtreme. And yes it is an automatic transmission, but for the life of my I can't figure out how to take it off. I got an aftermarket push-button(on the top) shift knob for an auto tranny and a new boot. Now if I could just figure out how to take it off and put the new one on. Anybody had any experiance with this? Thanks-Peace

P.S.-Damn I didn't even think about the fact that blazer's shift knobs have a horizontal push button. Is this going to make the switch to a vertical push-button shift knob impossible? Thanks-Peace
