I just changed my oil and realized that I added 1 quart of 5w/50 synthetic in with 4 quarts of regular 5w/30. Is this a problem? I typically change my oil every 3000 miles. Will this present a problem having the different weights of oil? Please help and thanks.

Mixing synthetic with mineral is ok, but preferbly they should be of same weight/class. There is a small risk of the addetives not performing at their best when mixing.
Change oil every 3000 miles is just a waste of money and oil. You could probably increase it to at least 6000 miles anyway.
